Past
moves like a circle between the fleeting spaces
of time. It moves and moans and splashes drizzles
of memories. It is an unending play of lights and
shades that sometime acquires a magical touch and
a hypnotizing flavour. The heart throbs of men,
the chirping of the doves, the sweet songs of the
nightingales which spread rainbows in every soul
and sundry all bloom in the sky. The soil, the water,
the whole animal world and flora also emerge from
nature. Here in the midst of the revelation of the
inspiring nature, the artist's subtle and refined
emotions surge out. Shankar has imbibed all these
refined emotions to the hilt. All his works reflect
his matured psyche. His perspective in watching
the landscape around him captures our heart and
demands our attention. His paintings are simple
but fuller and richer in every aspect. The life
that is spice of variety and the society that is
full of diversities can better enrich themselves
to welcome Shankar's paintings which echo the mute
notes of his zeal. |
