An artist, photographer and animation filmmaker, with major painting
exhibitions held in different
cities of India including Kolkata, Mumbai, Bangalore,
Chennai, Hyderabad
and Jamshedpur, Shankar had also been the Art Director
for a Telugu Feature Film.
The range of his works includes commissioned
portraits and figure paintings
in oils, acrylic and pastels to landscape turned
metascapes in his series
Vriksha – a saga of trees. As an experimental
animation filmmaker and head
of International animation training Institutes for over fifteen years, he has now been exploring various
combinations of traditional and conventional paintings
on digitized prints of photographic images and photo montages.
